L'Ardoise Acadian Festival Update:
Two meetings held to date have not been well attended. There is continued interest in making our 43rd annual
festival a social, cultural as well as a financial success. Maybe there is a need to review aspects of the festival,
however, early planning and discussion is required. Our next meeting is Sunday, April 3rd at 2:00pm
A number of activities previously associated with the festival are in "immediate" need of a person or group
of people to co-ordinate. They are: Major Ticket Draw, Bingo (Merchandise & Cash), Parade of floats,
Entertainment, children's activities, Treasurer and Festival Chairperson. If you would like to know what might
be involved with any of these or other aspects of the festival, give Fr. barrett a call at 587-2416. We will get
you the information needed and working with other volunteers can truly make it a fun-filled experience. This is
our community and as members, we would like to see a long standing tradition continue for many more years.
Plan to become involved and bring your ideas to our next meeting on Sunday, April 3rd.
