Card Games: Please note: Card Game time change starting March 25th. The Saturday night 45-card game at
the Community Center will now start at 8 p.m. Prizes: $100.; $60.; $40.; The first loonie jar is $1,000.00 and
the 2nd one is $348.00+

National Evangelization Team: NET retreats for young people will be hosted in various parishes/deaneries
throughout the Diocese from April 22 to 26, one of which will be taking place on Saturday, April 22nd at St.
Peter's Parish in Port Hood. If any junior high or high school youth are interested in going, please contact Sr.
Bernadette (787-2627) or any member of the Holy Guardian Angels Youth Ministry Team. For more

Solidarity Sunday. April 02.2006: Sunday, April 02 is Solidarity Sunday, the fifth Sunday of Lent. On this
Sunday we stand in solidarity with the poor and needy of the world. We will be having our annual Soup and
Biscuit Meal
at the Community Center, following Sunday Mass. Silver collection will go to Development and
Peace.

12-week Healthy Living Plan Information Session: Tuesday, April 4th from 6-7 p.m. Please call Sheri for
more details at 1-888-225-5295, Ext. 5057. Pre-registration is required.

World Youth Day 2008: If any young people (ages 15 to 32) would like to go, the deadline for letting
Carolyn Cook know is Easter (April 16th). She can be reached @587-2422.
Our next initiative will be the
Vesey's Seeds Spring Bulbs Fundraiser. It will start toward the end of the month, with the orders arriving in
May. We have placed a box at the main entrance of the Church for Canadian Tire Money. We will be
collecting this money until late spring. The money will be used to purchase some of the prizes for our
Merchandise Bingo (Details at a later date). Besides the fundraising efforts, there is also an account set up at
the East Coast Credit Union (L'Ardoise). Cash donations can be made directly at the Credit Union and a receipt
will be issued. Also, people can give through the Sunday collection. Please put your church envelope # on your
donation. Thanks.

Liturgy Committee Meeting: Thursday, April 06th at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe.

Arthritis Self Management Program: There will be a 6-week program for Arthritis Self Management starting
April 12th, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bonnie Brae Club in St Peters. The cost is $30.00 per person. Must pre-
register, space is limited to 15 participants. Please call Health Project office 587-2991 or Jennifer
Mombourquette at 625-7251.

Walking Club: Beginning Thursday, April 20th, 2006 at 11 a.m. Club will meet at the St Peters Fire Hall twice
a week. Anyone interested can call the Health Project at 587-2991.

Rite of Reconciliation of Several Penitents with Individual Confession and Absolution: This liturgical
celebration will take place on Wednesday, April 5th at 7 p.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Parish. It is a celebration
of God's Word, followed by an opportunity to go to individual confession. Fr. Barrett will be joined by Fr.
Duncan Maclsaac and Fr. Reg Currie.

Rite of Reconciliation of Individual Penitents: Fr. Duncan will be hearing confessions in Holy Guardian
Angels Church on Saturday, April 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Thank You: I would like to thank everyone who sent me flowers, fruit baskets, get well cards, and for the
visits and for the phone calls while I was in the Strait Richmond Hospital. Also, I wish to thank the Staff at the
Strait Richmond Hospital for taking such good care of me, and the staff of the St Anne Center in Arichat. You

The West Richmond Soccer Club is looking for linesmen and/or referees. Anyone over the age of 14 may

Eastern Counties Regional Library will be visiting St Peters (East Richmond Education Center) on Tuesday,
April 4 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and 6:00 -7:30 p.m.; Also L'Ardoise on Tuesday, April 18 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. &

Benefit: A benefit for the Stanley Family of Cape La Ronde, who lost their home and belongings in a recent
fire will be held on Saturday, April 22nd. Come to the D'Escousse Civic Improvement Hall for a fun-filled day
of activities to include a Pancake Breakfast (8-11 a.m.); Variety show of local talent including Robert Bouchard,
Nick Boudreau and Adam Cooke to name a few. Chowder, pizza and hot dogs will be available throughout the
day (1-5 p.m.); Public auction with auctioneer Adam Cooke (6-8 p.m.); dance with music by Celtic Colors
(Restricted to 19 years & over) (9 p.m. - 1 a.m.)
