Sacrament of the Eucharist: Anyone who has made his or her First Communion has the
right to receive Communion under both species (the Body and Blood of Christ); however,
in the case of children and the cup, the decision rests with the parents.NET Family Retreat: Some events and impressions of the retreat - a talk on what makes
a family effective; a skit of a teenager fighting with her parents and Jesus comes in on the
scene; a wife resting her head on her husband's shoulder and a teenager wrapping her
arms around a parent during quiet prayer time... Those who participated in this retreat
went home happy. Special thanks to Carolyn Cook for registration work; Sally Anne Mobourquette/Raymonde Burke/Leona Middleton/Paula & Leo Sampson for working the
kitchen; all who contributed food (delicious!); Wilfred Barrett for setting up for Mass;
Marie Burkey and Sherry Sampson for reading; Elaine Sampson for serving as eucharistic
minister, and Sarah Touesnard and Tiffany Harker for serving. Fifty-five people
participated in the retreat. Thanks to all who prayed that our families would experience
the love of God. They did...Fr. Barrett.45's Card Game: Saturday evening, L'Ardoise Community Center. 8:00 p.m. Prizes for
First & Second along with half and half ticket draw. Admission is $7.00 (includes toonie
jar). First Toonie Jar is $1,000 and the 2nd Toonie Jar $842.00+. Come and bring a
friend to enjoy a great evening and support our Center.Scholarships: Grade 12 students interested in receiving a scholarship from the Parish are

Council meeting to follow.Variety Concert: A Variety Concert will be held at the Lakeside Community Centre, Sampsonville on Sunday, April 22nd @ 7:30 p.m. Please join us for an evening filled
with great music, song and dance. Admission is only $4.00 and lunch will be served.Confirmation: The practice for candidates and sponsors will be held on Sunday, April
22nd @ 2 p.m. in the Church. Confirmation will take place on Thursday, April 26th @
7:00 p.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Parish with Bishop Raymond J. Lahey presiding.
Following the celebration, there will be a gathering in the Community Center (top
floor). If you would like to donate sandwiches or sweets for this event, please drop

kidneys will only function with the support of dialysis. Following a number of surgical
procedures to prepare for dialysis, Nick will require regular treatments and several trips to
the hospital. In an effort to assist Nicholas with extra expenses, friends and family have
organized an afternoon benefit for Saturday, May 12th at the L'Ardoise Community Center
from 2:00-6:00 p.m. The event will comprise of live entertainment, auction, bake table,
food, as well as tickets on a barbecue. Come and support a worthy cause!Youth & Adult Intermediate Guitar theory lessons, at the Richmond Arena, Sundays,
for 4 weeks beginning April 22, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. youth group, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. adult

Introduction to Fish Carving course at Richmond Academy, Louisdale begins Monday,
