Sacrament of Reconciliation: Before weekday Masses
Confirmation Registration: Registration for confirmation will be held
on Sun., April 30 at 2 p.m. in the
church. Any parents in the parish, whose unconfirmed children are in grades
8 to 11 are encouraged to attend.
Fr. Barrett will give an overview of his newly-revised confirmation program.
Classes will begin in September,
with confirmation being held sometime in the Spring of 2007.
Faith Formation Committee: The Faith Formation Committee will meet on
Tuesday, April 25th at 7:30 p.m.
in the glebe.
Parish Pastoral Council: Pastoral Council meeting has been re-scheduled
for Wednesday, April 26th at 7:30 p.m.
in the glebe.
Parent Meeting: Parents of the children making their First Communion
this year are asked to attend a meeting
on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in the church.
Parish Annual Meeting: The yearly parish meeting will be held on Sunday,
May 7th at 2 p.m. in the
Community Center.
Scholarships: Each year, the parish provides scholarships (Holy Guardian
Angels Parish Scholarship, Fr.
Briand Scholarship, Fr. Clary Scholarship) to high school parishioners who are
planning to attend a post-
secondary institution (university, college, etc). If you are interested in receiving
an award at your graduation,
please write a letter to Holy Guardian Angels Parish, PO Box 145, L'Ardoise,
NS, BOE ISO. In your letter,
please state/include the following: your name, address, and telephone number;
what post-secondary institution
you plan to attend; if you were to decide on a career today, what would it be
and why?, and a copy of your last
set of marks. Letters are to be received no later that May 24th, and
will be placed in a confidential file.
Addiction Services: Parent Information Session: Teens & Drugs; A Parental
Guide: An information
session is being offered to parents and guardians of adolescents who are interested
in learning about teen drug
use, why kids use drugs, drug information and services available for adolescents
and their families. Facilitator:
Karen Doyle, Youth Outreach Worker, Addiction Services; When:
Tuesday, May 2nd, 6:30 p.m.; Where:

Second Annual Richmond County Senior's Expo will be held at the Tara
Lynn Community Center in River
Bourgeois on May 27 & 28, 2006. For tickets and information, please call

Dr. Kingston Memorial Clinic Administration Board Annual Meeting will
be held on Monday, April 24th at
7 p.m. at the Grand River Community Hall. All welcome to attend. Presentation

Retired Teachers Corned Beef Dinner to be held on Tuesday, April 25th
at 5 p.m. at the Lions Den in

Donations for Flea Market
and/or Bake Sale are welcome.
Cancer survivors are invited to register for the Relay for Life event,
which will be held in Arichat on June 9th,
2006. This event is a celebration of courage in the fight against cancer. Survivors
will share a dinner and then
take part in one victory lap around the track. To register for the survivor

Garbage Collection
