45's Card Game: Saturday evening, L'Ardoise Community Center. 8:00 p.m. Prizes for
First & Second along with half and half ticket draw. Admission is $7.00 (includes toonie
jar). First Toonie Jar is $1,000 and the 2nd Toonie Jar $0.00+. Come and bring a friend
to enjoy a great evening and support our Center.

First Communion: Let us keep in our prayers the following six children who, on May 27
will receive, for the first time, the Body and Blood of Christ: Logan Cotie, Janine
Maclnnis, Celine Martell, Chelsey Martell, Osten Martell and Payton Robinson.

Confirmation: Congratulations to the young men and women who received the
sacrament of confirmation, lovingly administered by Bishop Raymond J. Lahey. Please
keep him in your prayers. Special thanks to the Choir; Raymonde for getting the flowers;
Jessica and Elysia for reading; Lawrence, Justin, and Christian for bringing up the gifts;
Kayla, Tiffany, and Wilfred for serving; Maria and Sarah for helping to distribute
Communion; the sponsors; all who helped with the delicious lunch in the Center, and

Scholarships: Grade 12 students interested in receiving a scholarship from the Parish are
asked to submit a resume and cover letter by May 11th. Are you involved in Parish or

The 2nd Annual Estwood Davidson Memorial Bursary Fundraiser will be held
Sat., May 12th at 7 p.m. at the Lion's Hall in St. Peter's. All proceeds to graduating
students at Richmond Academy. Tickets are $15 ea./$25 couple and are available
from Jean Pottie.

Festival Meeting: An Acadien Festival meeting will be held on Tues., May 1st at 7:30
p.m. in the Community Center (top floor). Come and get involved!

Steubenville Atlantic: Come to the Steubenville Atlantic Youth Conference at St. F.X.
University hi Antigonish, Aug. 3-5. Steubenville Atlantic is a high school youth
conference co-sponsored by the Archdiocese of Halifax and the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Steubenville Atlantic is a weekend to get rocked by God, learn the
truth of the gospel and get serious about living a life for Christ. Check out

people (grades 9-12) are interested in attending, please contact Sherry Sampson
by May 11th.
Steubenville Atlantic expects to host between 1000-1500
young people from the Atlantic region.

Annual Anniversary Celebration for couples who are celebrating 25, 40, 50 years of
marriage and over 50 will take place on Saturday, June 3rd, 2007 at the Community
Center. If you are one of these couples who are celebrating this event in 2007, please call
Carolyn Martell or Leona Middleton.

A Heavy Garbage Collection Program will be carried out in Richmond County on
Friday, May 25th, 2007. Material MUST be at the curbside by 8:00 a.m. Friday, May
25th
to ensure pickup. Any material placed after this time will NOT be collected.

ATV Riders: The next meeting for the ATV Club will be Monday, May 7th at 7 p.m. at
K & N Repairs. Membership dues of $30.00 to be collected at this meeting. Reminder -
license plate number is required for registration.

Happy Birthday!!! Ada Barrett at the Richmond Villa will be celebrating her 106th
birthday on Friday, May 4th, 2007. Everyone welcome. Best Wishes only!!!

Annual Collection: This weekend is the annual collection for the Antigonish Diocesan
Society. The society supports men studying for the diocesan priesthood. Special
envelopes are available at the church entrances. Pray for an increase in all vocations (a
state of life God wants a person to live): single life; married life, consecrated life;
contemplative life; diocesan life, and lay life. Thank you.

Thank You: The World Day Youth Group wishes to thank the Social Action committee
for their generous donation of $600.00 All proceeds from the seafood chowder on Good
Friday were donated to the children. Yard Sale/Bake Sale - Sunday, April 29th -
L'Ardoise Community Center (downstairs) 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a
Merchandise Bingo (upstairs at 2:00 p.m.). Sponsored by the World Youth Day Group.

Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 29th at 7 p.m. in the Community
Center. Everyone welcome. Parish Pastoral Council meeting to follow.

May 2nd @ 6:30 p.m. Holy Childhood Association Mission Day Mass. All are Invited,
but especially the children to celebrate our roles as "stay at home" missionaries. Last fall
many of our children joined the H.C.A. Mission Club whose theme is "Children Helping
Children."

Cancer Unit 53 L'Ardoise/Grand River Ecumenical Service, "CELEBRATION OF
HOPE."
May 10th, 7:00 p.m. at the United Church in Grand River. Light lunch to follow at the Grand River Fire Hall.
