The schedule will appear as
follows: Eucharist: John Doe (T)/Mary Jane. The "T" stands
for Tabernacle. The eucharistic minister with
the "T" next to his or her name is the one who goes to the Tabernacle

Scholarships: Each year, the parish provides scholarships (Holy Guardian
Angels Parish Scholarship, Fr.
Briand Scholarship, Fr. Clary Scholarship) to high school parishioners who are
planning to attend a post-

an award at your graduation,
please write a letter to Holy Guardian Angels Parish, PO Box 145, L'Ardoise,
NS, BOE ISO. In your letter,
please state/include the following: your name, address, and telephone number;

World Day of Prayer for Vocations: Next Sunday, May 7th is the 43rd
"World Day of Prayer for Vocations (to
Ordained Ministry and Consecrated Life). Much of our year is spent encouraging
and fostering the vocations of
all Christians. Next week, we will concentrate on the callings to ordained ministry
(priests and deacons) and
consecrated life (members of religious orders and secular institutes). During
our weekend Masses, we will pray
especially for those men and women who have served, and are serving God's people
as priests, deacons,
religious sisters and brothers, and that many more will join them. This week,
we invite you to take some time to
think of someone (a family member, friend, or parishioner) whom God may be calling
to join the next
generation of priests, sisters, or brothers. Pray for that person during this
week and at Mass next Sunday.
Volunteer Appreciation: The Parish Pastoral Council of Holy Guardian
Angels Parish is sending out a
message of Thanks and Appreciation to all those who volunteer in our Parish
and Community. The Gift of
Time is the most valuable gift of all. Thank you!
Antigonish Diocesan Society: We hope that you are aware that the annual
campaign for the Antigonish
Diocesan Society is scheduled for Vocation Sunday, the 4th Sunday of Easter
which this year fall on May 7th.
The collection in all the parishes of the diocese is meant to support our seminarians
during their study years.
For 65 years the Society has sustained future priests during their studies,
and we hope to continue this practice.
Regulations now require a five year study period and the cost of being in the
seminary has gone up a lot. If we
want to have workers in the Lord's Vineyard, we must have the financial support
to get them trained. We
currently have six seminarians studying and not knowing how many want to commence
their studies next Fall,
we expect to have expenses of about $120,000 at the moment. Antigonish Diocesan
Society envelopes are
available at the church entrances. Thank You!
