Thank You:
I would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy during the recent loss of my dear sister
Evelyn Landry. Your thoughfulness will always be remembered. Genevieve Adamsson

Thank You:
On Sept. 30 of this year, to say our family was in shock over the sudden and unexpected death of our 36 year old
son, Ed Robertson, is to put it mildly. As a grieving family, we were not only consoled, but overwhelmed by the
community's response at his funeral. Although many people from away attended the service, you the local
parishioners stood out in our minds and we are ever so grateful to your loving response. Words can never
express our gratitude fully. L'Ardoise remains our "parish of choice." Ed was born in this community and it is
only fitting that his remains restfully reside here along with ours in time. We thank everyone, your beloved
priest, Fr. Barrett, mass servers, funeral usher, the magnificent choir, CWL lunch ladies, the prayer group,
liturgy readers, Fr. Peter Baccardax, and especially you the L'Ardoise congregation for your kindness and
support. The many mass cards and donations to the Heart Foundation are also greatly appreciated. A Very
Merry Christmas to you all and a Blessed New 2006 Year! Sincerely, Gerry & Sharon Robertson, Ed's son
Luke, and sisters Giselle and Jill

Letter from Bishop Raymond J. Lahey
Dear Parishioners:
I am delighted by the initial results of our diocesan Shepherds' Trust campaign for 2005. While the final returns
are not yet in, the early reports already show a remarkable response on the part of our parishioners. I look
forward to a full report being made to you in the New Year. However, before the close of the year, I would like
to express my own thanks to everyone for your warm and generous response to this appeal, and for your concern
for our retired priests. I know this recognition is much appreciated by them and by us all.
I would just mention that if anyone would like to make a new or further contribution to the campaign for this
year, they can do so before the end of December in an envelope marked "Shepherd's Trust.
With my renewed thanks and with my sincere wishes for a blessed time of preparation for the birth of Our
Saviour,
Yours sincerely in Christ
Raymond J. Lahey, Bishop of Antigonish
