saved" - Romans 10:13. In this letter to the Christians of Rome, St. Paul is explaining
that Jesus loves us so much that we only have to believe in him and call upon him in
order to be part of his kingdom. Although this is a simple idea, Paul had a hard time
convincing the Romans to believe it. We, too, may think it is too simple, or even "too
good to be true." It is true! If we believe in Jesus with all our hearts, minds and spirits,
he will dwell with us as our Saviour. That is what Lent and Easter are all about. We
Pray - Saving Lord, when I am confused, upset or weak, help me to remember that you
are my Saviour. Relieve my heart of all trouble, and teach me to call on you whenever I
need help. We Act - Whenever you feel troubled, follow St. Paul's advice and call out
the name of the Lord. Simply by saying the name of Jesus, you are cleaning your spirit of
confusion and trouble as Jesus comes to you. At the end of each day, gather as a family
and talk about a moment or two when you called on the name of the Lord. The NET team (National Evangelization Teams) will be in our parish on Tuesday, April
17th to conduct a retreat for FAMILIES. NET Ministries is a traveling retreat ministry
team, based in Ottawa, Ontario. Please pray that our families will more fully experience
the love of God as they attend this retreat. If you are interested in housing a couple of the
NET team members, require more information, and/or would like to pre-register your
family ($20.00 per family-payable at the door; registration deadline-April 1st), please
contact Carolyn Cook or email carolyn.cook@seaside.ns.caConfirmation Class: The next confirmation class will be held on Sunday, February

your sponsor by or on March 4th. There will be a meeting for candidates, parents and
sponsors on Sunday, March 4th at 630 p.m. in the Church. Confirmation is scheduled for

It is our hope that by asking a lot of "What if?" questions, we will be able to make
recommendations to the Diocese. In other words, we will have a say in our future as
opposed to having the decisions made for us from afar. Thus far, there are five members
on the committee: Ken Pottie and Scott Mombourquette (Finance Committee), Paula
Sampson and Kathleen Bona (Parish Pastoral Council), and Fr. Barrett. We are looking
for two more members at large. If anyone who has an interest or experience with real
estate, participation in the committee would be greatly appreciated, If interested, please
call Scott Mombourquette. Thank you.BENEFIT AND AUCTION at the L'Ardoise Legion, Saturday, March 3rd, 2:00 p.m. to 7
