World Day Message for Peace, the family needs a home, a fit environment in which to develop its proper relationships. For the human family, this home is the earth, the environment that God the
Creator has given us to inhabit with creativity and responsibility...(The Human Family a Community
of Peace) and the concerns of our Canadian Bishops; God's glory is revealed in the natural world, yet we humans are presently destroying creation. In this light the ecological crisis is also a profoundly religious crisis. (Pastoral Letter on the Christian Ecological Imperative, 2003).
Bethany Center is offering a two-hour program to be presented in parishes called, "Catholic
Faith and the Environmental Crisis: An Orientation" This program is being offered in response to the question, "How do we begin to look at this big issue from the perspective of our faith?" It will include: "rooted in faith", "rooted in science", and "an understanding of the crisis". The program is designed for adults and older teens and would be helpful for any parish or parish group, ministry or organization who desire to see how their faith informs a new world context. Presenter: Sister
Donna Brady - Phone 902-863-4726 or e-mail: dlbrady@ auracom.com. The cost to the parish is
$50 plus travel
Have a Good Week!
