Card Games: PLEASE NOTE: 45's card play at the community Center on Saturdays starting at 7:00pm
with the usual 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes. The jackpot is now $555.00 and the Cookie Jar is $290.00+. There will be
NO card game on December 24th and December 31st. The card game will resume on January 07, 2006.

Children's Sunday Morning Program: The Children's Sunday morning program will resume at the 10:30
a.m. Mass on January 8th .

Religion Classes: Religion Classes resume at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 8th in the Community Center.

Faith Formation Committee: The Diocese of Antigonish is combining the Youth Ministry Office and the Faith
Formation Office. The Holy Guardian Angels Parish Faith Formation Committee will meet on Thursday,
January 5th at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe. The committee includes our religious education teachers, World Youth
Day Group, Youth Ministry Team and R.C.I.A. Team. Parents are the first teachers of their children in the ways
of faith, so it is important that adults be given opportunities to develop their own faith as well.

Adult Bible Study: Tuesday, January 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe.

Adult Faith Renewal Session: Tuesday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe.

Thank you & Happy New Year: Fr. Barrett would like to thank all who gave him cards and gifts for
Christmas. He would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year 2006.

Christian Child Care International: Deacon Leo Penny will speak in our parish on January 7-8, 2006 about
the work being done through Christian Child Care International - a Canadian, Catholic sponsorship program.
He will explain how you can help a destitute child at one of 37 mission sites in 15 developing countries.

7p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday.

Looking for Old Photos of the L'Ardoise Acadian Festival. The CAP site is working to put together a digital
album on the history of the L'Ardoise Festival with photos, newspaper clippings, stories and any other material

World Youth Day Update: Holy Guardian Angels Parish is sending two young people to World Youth Day in
Sydney, Australia in 2008. They are Kaitlynn Sampson and Stephen Sampson. It will cost $5,000 - $ 6,000 to
send each of them. An account has been opened at the L'Ardoise Credit Union. Anyone wishing to make a
donation to the "Holy Guardian Angels Parish World Youth Day" account is encouraged to do so. You can
make your donation at the Credit Union or drop it in the Church collection. Receipts will be issued at the Credit
Union or your donation will be added to your parish receipt. Thank you.

Eastern Counties Regional Library will be visiting St Peters (East Richmond Education Center) on Tuesday,
January 10 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.; Also L'Ardoise (Community Center) on Tuesday,
January 24 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. the library service is free to the public. Everyone is
welcome!
