Adult Choir: Choir practice on Monday, July 25th at 6:00 p.m. to prepare for the Acadian Festival.

ACADIAN FESTIVAL UPDATE

After many months of planning our 43rd annual event is just days ahead. As expected there are still little details
to iron out and our appeal for extra help is essential. We all know how busy the meals are and if you can give
any amount of time to the "Saturday Breakfast," "Saturday Supper," "Sunday Dinner," or "Sunday Supper", we
would love to have you join our labor of love. There is also a need for any number of volunteers to assist with
the sale of meal tickets, collecting admission at the door for our Friday night dance as well as Saturday evening
Pig & Whistle. During the festival weekend there is need for help with the major ticket draw-maybe you
could assist us with selling a few books of tickets. In any way you can help, please give the Center a call @
587-2011.

Booths set-up: On Monday, July 25th starting at 9:00 a.m. Show up with a hammer and a helping hand!!!

Acadian Festival- Meals & Kitchen: The Festival is fast approaching. As usual we must depend on many
people to help out. The following areas are important:
Turkeys -- Cooking and carving. Anyone who can cook a turkey or help in the carving, please let us know.

Kitchen &Dining-Room: As you are aware, this is a very important part of our success with meals. If you can
help in any way, with serving on tables, serving the food, preparing the food, any help you can offer will be
greatly appreciated, Please call Elaine; Rita Ma; Leona
Food donations: Anyone wanting to make donations of food, we are in need of rolls, pies, sweets, frozen
vegetables.

Is there anyone with 5 gallon pails (with covers). Can you lend them to us during the festival? We have to
separate our left over food, to take to landfill. We will return them to you. Call 587-2171 or 587-2011. Thank
you.

Anyone who has any Evangeline or Gabriel Costumes that aren't being used, please call the L' Ardoise
Community Center (587-2011) or drop them off at the Center between Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. Or call Jade or Jasmine.

L' Ardoise Acadian Festival Parade Notice: Where: Samson's Auto Repair. When: July 31 - 1 :30 p.m.

The L' Ardoise Jolly Club are in the process of putting together a "Cookbook". Recipes in all categories will
be needed. If you are interested in submitting some of your favorite recipes, please contact Huguette Martell,
Pat Samson, Mary Anne Mombourquette, Elaine Sampson,
Lorraine Pottie. We greatly appreciate your contribution to our project.

50-50 Ticket Draw: Next draw is July 31 and tickets are available from most Club members.

Suncatchers: Pictures of L' Ardoise and area done in custom beveled glass are available for purchase.
Available in 4" or 6" sizes. Prices vary from $9.00 for the 4""and $12.00 for the 6" size. These beautiful
souvenirs can be purchased at Le Magasin Fleur de Lis - Rockdale, L' Ardoise General Store or East Coast
Credit Union, L' Ardoise Branch.

L' Ardoise Playgroup (newborn to 6 years) will meet in the Community Center on July 18th & 25th from 9:30 -
11 :00 a.m.

Mass in honor of At. Anne at Our Lady of Grace Shrine in Monastery: on Sunday, July 24, 2005. Mass
will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel and will be led by Fr. Albert MacPherson, OSA. Following the Mass, there
will be a procession, with the recitation of the Rosary, to St Anne's Chapel located on the Monastery grounds.

The Annual Auction in aid of MacAskill House Museum will be held in the St Peters & Area Lions
Community Hall on Wednesday, Aug 3 - Viewing: 6 -7 p.m.; Auction begins at 7:00 p.m.

For fun, exercise and great prizes, join the POKER WALK on Monday, August 1 beginning and ending at the
St Peters Lions Hall. Start time is 6:30 p.m. Registration $5.00. Hot dogs, water and pop will be sold.
