Card Games - 45's card play -- Every Saturday at 8:00pm at the Community Center. Prizes are $100.,
$60., and $40. Cookie Jar and the Jackpot is now $1,070.00. Final card game for the season will be Saturday,
July 2nd.

Book of Intentions: At the entrance of the church, one will find a book of intentions. People can write the
names of their recently ill and deceased relatives and friends to be included in the "Prayer of the Faithful"
during Sunday liturgy. If your ill relatives and friends are in a hospital other than Strait Richmond for more
than one week, please ensure that their names are written in the book of intentions each week-end.

Adult Choir: Choir practice on Monday, July 25th at 6:00 p.m. to prepare for the Acadian Festival.

The Student Employment Office is coming to a C@P Site near you. Tentative dates in the area are: July 5th-
St Peters; July 12th-L' Ardoise; July 13th- Chapel Island. Resume writing, cover letter writing, interview tips,

Bishop Raymond Lahey and a Guest Panel consisting of a single person, a married couple, a religious woman
and a priest will reflect on vocations in the church today "Within! - The Call of God!" on Monday, October
17that 7:00 p.m. at St Theresa Parish Hall, Sydney and on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ninian
Place, Antigonish. All welcome!!

Pilgrimage to Ste Anne de Beaupre and Cap de la Madeline Shrines - August 21 to 27, 2005 under the

The L' Ardoise Jollv Club are in the process of putting together a "Cookbook". Recipes in all categories will
be needed. If you are interested in submitting some of your favorite recipes, please contact Huguette Martell,
Pat Samson, Mary Anne Mombourquette, Elaine Sampson, Lorraine Pottie. We greatly appreciate your contribution

The "Make Poverty History" Campaign is well underway in Canada. Similar campaigns are being undertaken
in over 50 countries. 2005 is being viewed as the year to make positive change happen around the world. If you
haven't already, please visit the website www.makepovertvhistory.ca to see what it's all about. If you wish,
you can show your support by signing up, wearing a white band, passing the link on, etc. Development and
Peace has signed on nationally. Individual Development and Peace Diocesan Councils are urged to sign on as
well. We are focusing attention on the part of the campaign which is asking for unconditional cancellation of
international debt... more information later. The United Nations has proclaimed the period from 2005 to 2015,
the International Decade for Action, "Water for Life". This commenced on World Water Day, March 22, 2005
