L'Ardoise Acadian Festival With the big event ever closer, we need to continue planning. Our next meeting
is Sunday, June 26th at 2:00 p.m. in the Center.

L'Ardoise Legion, Branch 110 meeting on June 21/05 - 7:00 p.m. executive; 7:30 p.m. regular meeting. This
will be the last meeting for the summer

Book of Intentions: At the entrance of the church, one will find a book of intentions. People can write the
names of their recently ill and deceased relatives and friends to be included in the "Prayer of the Faithful"
during Sunday liturgy. If your ill relatives and friends are in a hospital other than Strait Richmond for more
than one week, please ensure that their names are written in the book of intentions each week-end.

Summer Employment Opportunity for students;
Holy Guardian Angels Parish have been approved to hire 2 students for 7 weeks at a pay rate of $6.50/hr.
based on a 35-hour week. The successful candidate will focus much of their effort to activities associated with
L'Ardoise Acadian Festival and other small chores around the parish. This position is open to any student
presently enrolled in a post-secondary institution or a student entering further studies or training this fall.

L'Ardoise Economic Association for Development (L.E.A.D.) have been approved to hire one student for 8
weeks at a pay rate of $6.50 /hr. based on a 35-hour work week. The successful candidate will be responsible
for the operation of the Cap Site at the L'Ardoise Community Center. Familiarity with computer operated
equipment and the ability to assist the public is an asset. This position is open to students attending post-
secondary institution or those attending this fall. Interested youth may forward their application to L.E.A.D., PO

L'Ardoise Men's Club have been approved to hire one student for 8 weeks at a pay rate of.$6.50/hr. based on a
35-hour work week. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Parish Properties
Caretaker and assist in small chores around the parish buildings and grounds. This position is open to students
already enrolled or entering post-secondary institution this fall. Interested youth can forward their application to

The L'Ardoise Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded a grant for a summer student. It will run for an 8-
week period, commencing June 27th. We are looking for a motivated young student who will be enrolled in
post-secondary education for the next semester. Anyone wishing to apply for the position, please send resume
to L'Ardoise Volunteer Fire Dept. PO Box 24, L'Ardoise, BOE ISO, or drop them off at the L'Ardoise Credit
Union. The closing date for receipt of application is June 19th.

The L'Ardoise and Grand River Cancer Unit 53 would like to thank the Canvassers and the people who give
generously during our Annual Campaign, we raised $2,556.56; also, thanks to Rev. MacRae, Rev. Moore, Rev.
Barrett Clare-Johnson for the "Celebration of Hope" which was held in Grand River Presbyterian Church in

Union, L'Ardoise Branch.

Eastern Counties Regional Library will be in L'Ardoise (Community Center) on Tuesday, June 28 from 4 -
5:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. also in St Peters at East Richmond Education Center on Tuesday, June 14 from 3:30 -
5:30 p.m. and 6 - 7:30 p.m. This service is free to the public. Everyone is welcome.
