Pastoral Planning: The three pastoral units of Isle Madame, East Richmond
and West Richmond met on
Thursday, April 21st, 2005 in Louisdale. Feedback from the parish councils was
shared concerning the
questions, "How can the laity become more involved in Church? How can we
reach out to those who are not in
Church? How do we get people involved in church, and reach out to those who
are not in church at local
level?" It was suggested by the Chair, Lester Morgan that each representative
return to their councils with the
discussions that were mentioned, and try to generate more ideas to bring forth
to the next meeting.
Acadian Festival: Much work goes into the preparation and serving of
meals during the Acadian Festival.
Please consider helping in any way you can. We especially need people to help
in the kitchen, and to serve
meals, as well as cooking and carving turkey. Festival dates are July 27-30.
Card Game: This Saturday, June 24th will be our last game for the season.
On behalf of the many people
involved we wish to thank all that supported us over the past nine months. A
terrific social gathering brought
together people from our community and friends from near and far, to make for
a fun-filled couple of hours of
entertainment as well as a needed fund raiser for the hall. We look forward
to renewing social ties and
friendships in the fall.

Richmond Villa looks back as they prepare for the move to new location:
August 20th is fast approaching
and that's relocation day for the residents and staff of Richmond Villa. Staff
wanted to do something special to
raise funds so they could contribute to their new home, but more than this they
wanted to honor the memories of
former colleagues, residents, volunteers and the many people who helped Richmond
Villa to develop, grow and
move forward to become the quality organization it is today. Cooking With
Historical Memories - Richmond
Villa Remembers 1972-2006 A Memorial Recipe Collection is our
new cookbook, which we hope will be a
very special addition to the collections of many kitchens in homes throughout
our communities. Many people
have had their lives touched by the care provided to their families and friends
at Richmond Villa. Our
cookbook is now on sale at the Villa and from our staff members. It will also
be placed at various commercial
outlets throughout the area. We thank you for all the support you continue to
bestow on our organization and
look forward to continuing to serve you in our new location.
