Collection: In light of the confusion surrounding
the present collection (Arthur Pottie), please be advised that
this is not a parish sanctioned collection.
The Atlantic Catholic: Presents "The
Eucharist: Sign of the Church's Unity," October 21-23 at the Keating
Millennium Center, St Francis Xavier University. For more information and registration
form, please pick-up a
brochure at the church entrances.
Book of Intentions: At
the entrance of the church, one will find a book of intentions. People can write
the
names of their recently ill and deceased relatives and friends to be included
in the "Prayer of the Faithful"
during Sunday liturgy. If your ill relatives and friends are in a hospital other
than Strait Richmond for more
than one week, please ensure that their names are written in the book of intentions
each week-end.
L'Ardoise CAP site: Located
in the basement of the Community Center - Hours: 3:30 to 7:30pm Monday

Merchandise and Lobster Bingo to be held at L'Ardoise
Legion Branch 110 on Saturday, June 4, at 2 p.m.
All proceeds to the I.W.K. Hospital for Children. If you wish to make a donation
to this bingo, it will be greatly appreciated.
Social Action Reminder: Anniversary Supper for
couples celebrating 25, 40, 50 and over 50 years will be
held on Saturday, June 11 at the Coomunity Center. Social hour 4:30 to 5:30,
Supper at 5:30 Mass following.

There will be a Well Women's Pap Screening Clinic on Saturday,
June 11th from 1-4 p.m. at the Dr. Kingston
Memorial Clinic. For an appointment, please call the Health Project at 587-2991.
Safe Kids Week - Summer Safety event will be
held at the Village Grocery Parking Lot on Sunday, June 5th
from 1-4 p.m. Activities will include: Bike Rodeo, Helmet Fitting Station, Water
Safety from the Coast
Guard Auxiliary and a BBQ. A special treat from "Sandy" the children's
entertainer Razzmatazz. All are
welcome.

L'Ardoise (Community Center) on Tuesday, June 28 from 4 -
5:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. also in St Peters at East Richmond Education Center on
Tuesday, June 14 from 3:30 -
5:30 p.m. and 6 - 7:30 p.m. This service is free to the public. Everyone is
welcome.
The Nova Scotia Hearing & Speech Foundation
is holding a lottery on a Rosborough 26 ft Custom
Wheelhouse Boat with trailer. This beautiful boat will be on display in St Peter's
Marina on June 10-12. On
Friday, June 10, starting at 4 p.m. the Richmond Friends of the NSHSF are holding
a barbecue at St Peters
Marina, complete with entertainment and a chance to win a free ticket on the
boat. Tickets are $10.00 and may
be purchased at Wilson's Fuels, West Arichat; Need Convenience, St Peters; Maclsaac's
Kiltmakers, St Peters;
or by phoning 535-2531 or 226-3004. Proceeds from the barbecue support the Strait-Richmond
Hearing and
Speech Center.
The annual diocesan collection for Latin America
will be held this year on Sunday, June 5th. Every penny
collected for this cause goes to help the poor of Latin America according to
a promise we made when our priests
were withdrawn from the missions. Envelopes for this collection may be found
in you packet or you may use an
ordinary envelope marked Latin America. Please give generously to our
own diocese's missionary project.
Friendship Flowers an outdoor living and gardening
show will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Tamarac
Education Center in Port Hawkesbury from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Available for
your enjoyment will be a
marketplace, displays, demo's, workshops, children's activities, a barbeque,
a plant swap and Bob Bancroft as
guest speaker. Brochures with registration & information are available at
Garden Centers. Proceeds support
Leeside Transition House.

from Confirmation class); 1 pr. Black leather men's gloves; 1
pr blue wool gloves. If these items are not picked up soon they will go to the
diabetic pick-up. Check on back
