Mass Time Change: The Saturday evening Mass will be held at 7 p.m. beginning April 1st.
Card Games: Please note: Card Game time change
starting March 25th. The Saturday night 45-card game at
the Community Center will now start at 8 p.m. Prizes: $100.; $60.; $40.; The
first loonie jar is $1,000.00 and
the 2nd one is $172.00+
High School Religious Education Class: The high school religious
education class was beat out by sports
competitions. I was unaware that these events were being held on the same night.
Another attempt for
Wednesday, March 29th will be made. All high school youth in the parish are
encouraged to attend this meeting
at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe. The evening will deal with the topic of justice by
having youth role-play different
scenarios around the issue of selling and abusing illegal drugs. Do the youth
want this religious education class
to become a senior youth group? What are some social and recreational activities
that the youth would like to
do? The youth ministry team will be present.
Youth Ministry Team: The team will meet on Sunday, March 26th at 3:30 p.m. in the glebe.
Acadian Festival Meeting: A meeting will be held on Sunday, March 26th at 2 p.m. in the Community Center.
Diocesan Youth Event: Live Concert "Janelle": The Diocese
of Antigonish is excited to sponsor a great
afternoon of music (and more) at this youth focused, family friendly concert
featuring Janelle and her band,
One80. Janelle sang for Pope John Paul II and Queen Elizabeth II, and
has opened for Christian musician
Michael W. Smith. She sang the Official Theme Song at World Youth Day 2002.
Her three CD releases have
been smash hits and have won many awards, including three "Artist of the
Year" and one "Album of the Year."

National Evangelization Team: NET retreats for young people will
be hosted in various parishes/deaneries
throughout the Diocese from April 22 to 26, one of which will be taking place
on Saturday, April 22nd at St.
Peter's Parish in Port Hood. If any junior high or high school youth are interested
in going, please contact Sr.
Bernadette (787-2627) or any member of the Holy Guardian Angels Youth Ministry

Healing Mass: The healing Mass is scheduled for Monday, March
27th at 7 p.m. Storm date - Monday, April
3rd at 7 p.m.

World Youth Day 2008: There will be a meeting of the young adults
that have shown interest in attending
World Youth Day 2008 and their parents at the Glebe on Tuesday, March 28th at
7:30 p.m.
Well Men's Clinic: There will be a Well Men's Clinic offered
at.the Strait Richmond Hospital on March 30th,
2006 from 5-9 p.m. For more information or to book an appointment, please call

First Confession: First Confession will be held on Thursday, Mar 30th at 7 p.m. in the Church.
12-week Healthy Living Plan Information Session: Tuesday, April
4th from 6-7 p.m. Please call Sheri for

World Youth Day 2008: If any young people (ages 15 to 32)
would like to go, the deadline for letting
Carolyn Cook know is Easter (April 16th). She can be reached @587-2422.
Our next initiative will be the
Vesey's Seeds Spring Bulbs Fundraiser. It will start toward the end of
the month, with the orders arriving in
May. We have placed a box at the main entrance of the Church for Canadian Tire
Money. We will be
collecting this money until late spring. The money will be used to purchase
some of the prizes for our
Merchandise Bingo (Details at a later date). Besides the fundraising
efforts, there is also an account set up at
the East Coast Credit Union (L'Ardoise). Cash donations can be made directly
at the Credit Union and a receipt
will be issued. Also, people can give through the Sunday collection. Please
put your church envelope # on your
donation. Thanks.
Ladies Auxiliary of Fire Department: We, the Ladies Auxiliary
of the Fire Department, are seeking new
members to join our organization. The numbers are getting lower and we are in
desperate need of new
members. If anyone is interested, would you please call Agnes at 587-2691 or

Solidarity Sunday. April 02.2006: Sunday, April 02 is Solidarity
Sunday, the fifth Sunday of Lent. On this
Sunday we stand in solidarity with the poor and needy of the world. We will
be having our annual Soup and
Biscuit Meal at the Community Center, following Sunday Mass. Silver collection
will go to Development and
Peace.
Donations for Easter Flowers now being accepted.
Arthritis Self Management Program: There will be a 6-week program
for Arthritis Self Management starting
April 12th, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bonnie Brae Club in St Peters. The cost
is $30.00 per person. Must pre-
register, space is limited to 15 participants. Please call Health Project office

Walking Club: Beginning Thursday, April 20th, 2006 at 11 a.m.
Club will meet twice a week. Anyone
interested can call the Health Project at 587-2991.
Rite of Reconciliation of Several Penitents with Individual Confession
and Absolution: This liturgical
celebration will take place on Wednesday, April 5th at 7 p.m. in Holy Guardian
Angels Parish. It is a celebration
of God's Word, followed by an opportunity to go to individual confession. Fr.
Barrett will be joined by Fr.
Duncan Maclsaac and Fr. Reg Currie.
Rite of Reconciliation of Individual Penitents: Fr. Duncan will
be hearing confessions in Holy Guardian
Angels Church on Saturday, April 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m.
