Healing Mass: The healing Mass is scheduled for Monday, March 27th at 7 p.m. Storm date - Monday, April

World Day of Prayer 2006: Christians around the world will be focusing on the country of South Africa
during the annual World Day of Prayer service. Local residents are invited to join in this world wide event by
attending a service at Holy Guardian Angels Parish at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 5th, 2006. The guest speaker
will be Thomas Turay, Assistant Professor of Adult Education at the Coady International Institute in Antigonish.
This year's World Day of Prayer service, written by the women of South Africa, reflects on the theme "Sign of
the Times." Participants attending the World Day of Prayer will not only be learning more about this country
and its unique culture and heritage, but will also be joining Christians in more than 170 countries around the
world and 2,000 communities across Canada who will gather together to pray and act in solidarity with the
people of South Africa, hi Canada, the World Day of Prayer is|co-ordinated by the Women's Inter-Church
Council of Canada, hi East Richmond, the co-ordinating group has representation from the following churches:
Holy Guardian Angels Parish, L'Ardoise; St. John the Baptist Parish, River Bourgeois; St Peter's Roman
Catholic Parish, St Peter's; St. Peter's United Church, St Peter's; St Peter's Christian Church, St. Peter's, and
Immaculate Conception Parish, Barra Head. For more information on the service being held in L'Ardoise,

World Youth Day; Special thanks to Eileen Madden for requesting donations of juice for our fundraiser.
Thank you to Cape Breton Beverages, Coca-Cola, Atlantic Wholesale, L'Ardoise General Store and Foodland.
To date, $1229.51 has been raised with this effort. A special thank you to all who donated. If you did not return
your bottle yet, just bring it to church or give it to Andree at the Credit Union. If any young people (ages 15 to
32) would like to go, the deadline for letting Carolyn Cook know is Easter (April 16th). She can be
reached @587-2422.
Our next initiative will be the Vesey's Seeds Spring Bulbs Fundraiser. It will start
toward the end of the month, with the orders arriving in May. We have placed a box at the main entrance of the
Church for Canadian Tire Money. We will be collecting this money until late spring. The money will be used
to purchase some of the prizes for our Merchandise Bingo (Details at a later date). Besides the fundraising
efforts, there is also an account set up at the East Coast Credit Union (L'Ardoise). Cash donations can be made
directly at the Credit Union and a receipt will be issued. Also, people can give through the Sunday collection.
Please put your church envelope # on your donation. Thank you.

Benefit /Auction in aid of Reg Lahey diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. He is undergoing physiotherapy and
