Holy Guardian Angels Religion Classes: There will be NO class on Sunday, March 9 & 23 in the L'Ardoise Community Center; however, there will be class on Sunday, March 16.

Acadian Festival Update: The dates of our 46th Acadian Festival will be July 24-27, 2008. Fresh new ideas for this year's Festival are welcome. World Youth Day Group: On Sunday, March 16th, the World Youth Day Group will be hosting a St. Paddy's Day Auction and Ceilidh. This event will be from 2-6 pm, to be held at the LArdoise Community Center. This is a licensed event. A lunch of a bowl of Chili and Roll will be available for the cost of $5.00. Take out is available. A wide variety of local talent will be enjoyed throughout the afternoon. A vast variety of wonderful prizes are available to be auctioned off. Some of the many prizes include: furnace oil, lobsters, DeWalt tool pkg., Tandem of gravel and much more. Please come out and help support the youth of our Parish. Draws throughout the afternoon will take place.
There will be a family breakfast at the L'Ardoise Community Center on March 15th in aid of the new proposed activity park. Please come and see the proposed drawing and give input to the project. Our community needs this park to provide residents with the availability to walk on the track, play basketball, tennis, ground hockey, listen to music in the band shelter, as well as provide playground activities. This breakfast is sponsored by the L'Ardoise Men's Club.
Development and Peace: Today, the Fifth Sunday of Lent, is Solidarity Sunday. This is the Sunday when all churches in Canada participate in the Share Lent collection. These donations help Development & Peace work with local partners overseas on sustainable development programs to improve people's lives. It involves rebuilding communities devastated by conflict or natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. It uses 10% of its annual Share Lent donations to respond to emergencies worldwide. Our beliefs as Christians lead us to give, to act and to pray. Soup & Biscuit Meal after the 9:30 a.m. Mass until 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9th in the L'Ardoise Community Center. Silver collection. Proceeds to Development & Peace.

Lenten Reconciliation & Easter Triduum schedule for Holy Guardian Angels & Immaculate Conception Parishes:
Chrism Mass: Monday, March 17th at 4 pm in St Paul's Parish, Havre Boucher.
First Reconciliation Liturgy for Holy Guardian Angels: Tuesday, March 18th at 7 pm in the Church.
First Reconciliation Liturgy for Immaculate Conception: Wednesday, March 19th at 7 p.m. In Kateri Chapel.
Thursday, March 20th (Holy Thursday): 7 pm in Immaculate Conception. The Holy Thursday Mass ends in silence (no blessing or dismissal), and is followed by an opportunity for parishioners to quietly adore the Blessed Sacrament (until 10 pm).
Friday, March 21st (Good Friday): 3 pm in Holy Guardian Angels. Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence from meat. Fish and Corn Chowder available after the service in the L'Ardoise Community Center ($5.00, proceeds to Development & Peace).
Outdoor Way of the Cross - 6 pm - Holy Guardian Angels Parish Grounds. The Way of the Cross is done by the young people of the parish. In case of unfavorable weather, Way of the Cross takes place inside the Church.

In recognition of the 35th Anniversary Celebration of 824 Silver Dart Royal Canadian Air Cadets in St Peters. Guest Speaker: Major Allan MacKenzie. 6 pm - Meet & Greet; 7pm - Hot Turkey Dinner, all meal orders must be in by Friday, April 4, 2008. 10 pm - 2 am - Adult Dance - recorded Music by the Hines Brothers, Semi-Formal - No Jeans. All events open to the general public, as well as former cadets, staff, etc. Tickets can be purchased from Allison Martell; Theresa Burke; Marsha Boudreau. Prices: $ 12.00/person for Dinner or Dance ; $20.00/couple for Dinner or Dance; $20.00/person for Dinner and Dance; $35.00/couple for Dinner and Dance. All proceeds will go to 824 Silver Dart Royal Canadian Air Cadets, for training and traveling purposes.
