45's Card Game: Saturday evening, L'Ardoise Community Center. 8:00 p.m. Prizes for
First & Second along with half and half ticket draw. Admission is $7.00 (includes toonie

Annual Anniversary Celebration for couples who are celebrating 25, 40, 50 years of
marriage and over 50 will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at the Community Center. If
you are one of these couples who are celebrating this event in 2007, please call Carolyn
Martell or Leona Middleton on or before May 25th. Social Hour

A Heavy Garbage Collection Program will be carried out in Richmond County of
Friday, May 25th. Materials MUST be at curbside by 8:00 a.m. Friday, May 25th to ensure pickup.

Canada Summer Jobs: The Holy Guardian Angels Parish application did not rank high
enough in the list of assessed applications to be funded.

Summer Employment Opportunity- L'Ardoise G@p Site
Position: C@p Site Intern
- 14 weeks; 35 hours per week; $8.50 per hour - The
successful applicant will be able to offer a wide range of services at the c@p site
including, but not limited to, providing access to high speed internet, assistance with
homework assignments, research, geneology, job searches, and access to government
services applications. In addition to the above the successful applicant will provide
technical support to the L'Ardoise Acadien Festival and develop projects as outlined by
L.E.A.D. for fund-raising activities. Requirements: Applicant must be a full time post-
secondary student, a Grade 12 student attending a post- secondary institution in the fall;
must provide proof of eligibility, i.e. copy of marks, or certificate and acceptance letter;
applicant must be able to begin work on Monday, May 28th. Deadline for application is

Relay for Life Are you a Cancer Survivor? A cancer survivor is anyone who has been
told they have cancer - may be awaiting treatment, in treatment, completed treatment or
cancer free. All Cancer Survivors are invited to be our special guests at the Survivor's Reception/Dinner and Victory Lap at the Relay for Life. This year the Relay for Life will
be held in Port Hawkesbury on June 1st and Arichat on June 8th. Please register by
contacting Susan Butts (625-2017) or Mary Ross (756-2203) for the port Hawkesbury
Relay or Line Boucher for the Arichat Relay (226-0969)

Variety Concert at the Lakeside Community Center, Sampsonville on Sunday, May 20th
at 7:30 p.m. Please join us for an evening of great music, song and dance with lunch
included. Admission is $4.00

The Village On The Canal Association & St Peters Community Club are excited to
announce that this year's business dinner will be in honor of Esther Campbell. Esther has
recently been awarded the Jack Hartery Lifetime Business Achievement Award. The
Business Dinner will be held on May 31st at the St Peters Lions Hall. Social at 6 p.m.

Senior's Expo Celebration: In connection with the Senior's Expo Week of Celebrations,
the L'Ardoise Senior's Jolly Club will be sponsoring a Ham & Salad with rolls & dessert
at the L'Ardoise Community Center from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3,

Atlantic Marian Gathering presents Mary Our Lady of Victory we place our hope in
