Book of Intentions: At the entrance of the church, one will find a book of intentions. People can write the
names of their recently ill and deceased relatives and friends to be included in the "Prayer of the Faithful"
during Sunday liturgy. If your ill relatives and friends are in a hospital other than Strait Richmond for more
than one week, please ensure that their names are written in the book of intentions each week-end.

SCHOLARSHIPS: The parish is offering several scholarships to students graduating from high school this
year. Written applications are required. Deadline for applications is May 31, 2005. Please submit a resume
stating parish and community involvement and indicating the institution you will be attending in the Fall. Send

Merchandise and Lobster Bingo to be held at L'Ardoise Legion Branch 110 on Saturday, June 4, at 2 p.m.
All proceeds to the I.W.K. Hospital for Children. If you wish to make a donation to this bingo, it will be greatly appreciated.

Social Action Reminder: Anniversary Supper for couples celebrating 25, 40, 50 and over 50 years will be
held on Saturday, June 11 at the Coomunity Center. Social hour 4:30 to 5:30, Supper at 5:30 Mass following.

scene include Holy Guardian Angels Parish Church, L'Ardoise Parish Properties, Blessing of the Fleet
(L'Ardoise Acadian Festival), Little Harbour and Point Michaud. Available in 4" or 6" sizes each piece comes
in an attractive custom made package with suction cup for display on your window. Prices vary from $9.00 for
the 4" and $12.00 for the 6" size. These beautiful souvenirs can be purchased at Le Magasin Fleur de Lis-
Rockdale, L'Ardoise General Store or East Coast Credit Union, L'Ardoise Branch.

There will be a Well Women's Pap Screening Clinic on Saturday, June 11th from 1-4 p.m. at the Dr. Kingston
Memorial Clinic. For an appointment, please call the Health Project at 587-2991.

The Dr. W. B. Kingston Memorial Clinic Administration Board is seeking expressions of interest for the full
season of lawn mowing at the Clinic and Drs. House. For more information please contact Leo Sampson

Religious Education: At the 10:30 Mass on May 29, the parish community will celebrate with the children
who are receiving their First Holy Communion. After Mass, all the Religious Education students and their
families are invited to the Community Center to enjoy a little lunch together with the First Communion children.
This gathering will mark the end of this year's catechetical program. Thanks to all for a good year!

A Heavy Garbage Collection Program will be carried out in Richmond County on Monday, May 30,2005.
Material MUST be at the curbside by 8:00 a.m., Monday, May 30th to ensure pickup. Any material placed after
this time will NOT be collected. The Minicipality of the County of Richmond Public Works Department
thanks residents for their co-operation in keeping Richmond clean.

The annual diocesan collection for Latin America will be held this year on Sunday, June 5th. Every penny
collected for this cause goes to help the poor of Latin America according to a promise we made when our priests
were withdrawn from the missions. Envelopes for this collection may be found in you packet or you may use an
ordinary envelope marked Latin America. Please give generously to our own diocese's missionary project.

50th Anniversary of Ordination of Father Joe Gillis will take place on Friday, June 3rd, 2005 Mass of
Thanksgiving, Sacred Heart Church, Johnstown at 5:30 p.m. Reception at Big Pond Community Center/Fire
Hall, Big Pond at 8:00 p.m. All welcome to attend Mass and Reception.

Friendship Flowers an outdoor living and gardening show will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Tamarac
Education Center in Port Hawkesbury from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Available for your enjoyment will be a
marketplace, displays, demo's, workshops, children's activities, a barbeque, a plant swap and Bob Bancroft as
guest speaker. Brochures with registration & information are available at Garden Centers. Proceeds support
Leeside Transition House.

pr blue wool gloves. If these items are not picked up soon they will go to the diabetic pick-up. Check on back
