Retired Teachers Breakfast Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 9:30 a.m. at Parker's Restaurant

Book of Intentions: At the entrance of the church, one will find a book of intentions. People can write the
names of their recently ill and deceased relatives and friends to be included in the "Prayer of the Faithful"
during Sunday liturgy. If your ill relatives and friends are in a hospital other than Strait Richmond for more
than one week, please ensure that their names are written in the book of intentions each week-end.

First Communion: On Sunday, May 15, the first communion candidates will be introduced to the community.
They are Jessie Graham, Chelsey Landry, Mark MacDonald, James MacLean, Devin Martell, Janelle Martell,
Kari Lynn Middleton, Joseph John Oram, Taylor Robinson, Raymond Joseph Webb, Keigan Cotie. Pray for
them as they continue to prepare to call God their Father in the midst of the church.

50-50 Tickets sponsored by the L'Ardoise Jolly Club (Seniors) Building Fund are now available

L'Ardoise CAP site: Located in the basement of the Community Center - Hours: 3:30 to 7:30pm Monday

Social Action Reminder: Our yearly anniversary celebration for couples married 25, 40, 50 years & over will
be taking place on June 11, 2005. If you are one of these couples, married in this parish, or married elsewhere
and now living in this parish, please contact Carolyn Martell - Annette Martell - or Elaine
Sampson - before May 15. Celebration consists of supper followed by 7:00pm mass & blessing.

Donations: Anyone wishing to make a donation for Claude Cotie can do so at any branch of East Coast Credit
Union. Your donations are sincerely appreciated.

L'Ardoise Acadian Festival:
Anyone having any prizes for Bingo or Booths & Games that they would like to donate, please drop them off at
Kathleen Bona's in Rockdale (Before May 31)

Acadian Festival Update: Many aspects of the festival now have co-ordinators, however more volunteers are
still needed to assist in the various tasks. For the Major Ticket Draw, an electric fire place was donated by R.
M. Landry & Son. The tickets have been printed and are ready for sale. We are in need of someone or group to
co-ordinate this activity. Our next festival meeting will be May 15th at 2:00pm. L'Ardoise Community Center.
Please come and lend a hand!

Suncatchers: Pictures of L'Ardoise and area done in custom beveled glass are available for purchase. The
scene include Holy Guardian Angels Parish Church, L'Ardoise Parish Properties, Blessing of the Fleet
(L'Ardoise Acadian Festival), Little Harbour and Point Michaud. Available in 4" or 6" sizes each piece comes
in an attractive custom made package with suction cup for display on your window. Prices vary from $9.00 for
the 4" and $12.00 for the 6" size. These beautiful souvenirs can be purchased at Le Magasin Fleur de Lis-
Rockdale, L'Ardoise General Store or East Coast Credit Union, L'Ardoise Branch.

Celebration of Hope Ecumenical Services: Service will be held at the Grand River Presbyterian Church on
May 11th, at 7:00pm. Light lunch to follow at the fire hall. All are welcome.

Eastern Counties Regional Library will be visiting St Peter's (East richmond Educatiopn Center) on Tuesday,
May 17th from 3:30-5:30pm 6:00-7:00pm. This library service is free to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Ordination to the Ministerial Priesthood Celebration for Deacon Andrew Francis Gillies: Please join the

Flea Market & Bake Sale sponsored by St Peter's Relay for Life Team (Cancer Society) will be held at the

Thank You: The family of the late Cecilia Pellow would like to thank the staff of the Strait Richmond Hospital,
Dr. Pluta, Dr. Tan and the home care workers for their care of Cecilia. To all who visited during her illness and
those who brought food, cards, and condolences at the time of the visitation. For the beautiful music by Carol,
Jason and the Choir. To the readers, pallbearers, servers and father Barrett for his assistance at mass and words
of comfort during our loss. Thank you for the beautiful words spoken on Cecilia's behalf, and for the great
lunch provided by the ladies of the parish. Your kindness and prayers will never be forgotten. Merci

Thank You: A hearfelt and grateful thank you to all who participated in the very successful benefit held last
weekend on our behalf. To the organizers and their great team of volunteers, we thank you in a special way. To
the people who solicited prizes and all the businesses and individuals who gave so generously to the auction; to
the many who made it so successful; to the people who donated food and helped prepare it; who sold tickets;
contributed at the door; sent cards, and letters; to those who offered assistance in the first days of Claude's
injury, we send you all our grateful thanks. Claude has had surgery on both his legs in Halifax and will be
