Adult Choir Practice on Monday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the
church to prepare for Christmas season.
The L'Ardoise Legion will be holding the Annual Children's
Christmas Party for all children of the parish
on December 18th, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All children up to the ages
of nine years are invited to
attend and have a visit with "Santa."

for your outpouring of love and support and
especially your prayers for Debbie in her time of need. She wants everyone to
know that you have lifted her
spirits and have strenghtened her faith and given her hope for her future. Please
continue to pray for her as she
has started her chemo treatments and still has a long road to travel. May God

Thank You: I would like to say thank you to all who came to visit
me while a patient at the Strait Richmond
Hospital, to those who sent get-well wishes, to those who prayed for me and
to Dr. Tan. - Barbara Taylor
Children's Program: On the First Sunday of Advent, we will begin
our Children's Program. After the Sign
of the Cross & Greeting, the children will be asked to come up to the front
of the altar for a blessing. They will
then go to the vestry with adult volunteers for a Children's Liturgy of the
Word. The children will return to the
congregation for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. A special eucharistic prayer
for children will be used at this Mass.
The Richmond County Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation
will sponsor the 17th annual
Richmond County Winter Festival, January 30 - March 5, 2006. As in the past,
we will assist all
organizations who would like to sponsor an event during these dates. Please
contact the Department at P O Box
120, Arichat, NS BOE 1AO, or fax 226-0295 for a "Richmond County Winter
Festival Form." Please inform us
of your activity or event by January 13, 2006. All event information returned
by this date will be publicised
in the Reflections of Richmond newsletter. A variety of Winter Festival promotional
items will be provided by
the Department.
The Eighteenth Annual Festival of Choirs will be held in St.
Hycinth's Church in D'Escousse on November
27th beginning at 6:30 p.m. As the name indicates, it is a celebration of seasonal
hymns by our local choirs. As
well as listening, come and enjoy participating in the congregational singing.
A living Creche will also be
presented as a finale. As usual, there is no admission fee.
Euthanasia & Assisted Suicide: There is currently a Bill
being considered in Parliament that would permit
both euthanasia and assisted suicide. Please consider taking some action (for
example, writing your MP) to
dissuade Members of Parliament from passing this bill.
Vocation Discernment Weekend: For persons thinking of priesthood
and/or religious life to be held at Bethany
Center in Antigonish November 25-27, 2005. Are you called to serve the People
of God as a religious and/or
