Thank You: We the family of Carl Francis (Sonny) O'Brien would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all who
sent mass and sympathy cards, memorial donations, to the ladies who provided the lunch, to the choir, Dr. Tan
for his constant support of Sonny during his illness, to Fr. Barrett for a beautiful mass, to all who visited,
brought food, to all Sonny's friends. It was wonderful to know that you all loved him so much. We will never
forget your kindness. With love and thanks The O'Brien Family

45's Card Game: Over the next few months many people from our community, along with friends from nearby
will gather on Saturday evening for a lucky chance at 45's. More importantly a great social event with friends.
Whatever the reason, this regular event has been a tremendous financial help to the expenses of our center. To
continue preparing for the game every Saturday there is always the chore of setting up the tables and clean up
afterward. People also enjoy the food hospitality each week. Items needed are stir sticks, napkins, styrofoam
cups, sugar packets, soda pop, paper plates, sandwiches, sweets. Anyone wishing to make a contribution of any
of these items or help in any other way can contact Blanche or Stevie. We thank you for
your support and hope that all will enjoy another fun-filled season oflaughter and fellowship.

Public Hearings: Richmond Municipal Council will hold three public hearings to receive oral or written
submission from the public on the number and reasonableness of the municipal districts and boundaries.
Specific issues include: --the number of Councillors; --District voter inequity (electoral rules require that the
boundaries of districts be adjusted, so that districts have approximately equal numbers of voters, or a variance
or less than +/- 10%); --the addition of and additional position of a Mayor, that is elected by all of the people of
thew county. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. don November 7th, 2006 at the St Peters United Church
Hall.

World Youth Day Group: Meals on Wheels is November 19th. Meals can be ordered by phoning any of the
members of the group: Elysia Hudson, Maria Collett, Stephen Sampson, Kaitlynn Sampson, Kayla Bona, or
Sarah Touesnard. We will be taking orders until November 6th. The meal is $7.00 for a cold plate of turkey,
ham, potato, and rotini salad, coleslaw, roll and dessert. They will be delivered between 3 and 5 on Sunday,
November 19.
The next meeting of the group will be Monday, November 6th at 7 p.m. at the glebe. Group members are asked
to make contact with another member if they miss the meeting. Many decisions are made at the meetings and
we need everyone to be kept up to date.

Christmas Ornaments: Do you have Christmas Ornaments (tree or shelf) to clear out? Please consider the
Richmond Villa, as we have a much larger facility to decorate this year. If you have ornaments you do not want
or need please contact Paula at 535-3030 ext 227 and leave a message. Your generosity is
appreciated! The Richmond Villa extends an open invitation to come and visit our New Home.

Our Voice is needed! Development and Peace -- The official international development agency of the
Canadian Catholic Church invites all Canadian Catholics to put ourfaith in action, by supporting communities
in the Global South (Africa, Asia and Latin America) in their struggle for dignity andjustice. Canadian mining
companies operating these places have been implicated in cases of human rights and environmental violations.
They must be called to account by our govemment. At the masses next weekend an action letter and more
information will be distributed. By signing this letter, we are asking our government: --to refuse Canadian
government support to mining companies that do not respect international environmental and human rights
standards; -- to develop legal mechanisms that ensure mining companies are held accountable for their actions
in the Global South. Your voice can help.
