Marriage Encounter: The next marriage encounter weekend will take place in Pictou, Oct. 21-23, 2005.
Marriage encounter can be the most successful and dynamic marriage enrichment experience in the world today.
Couples with a good marriage deserve a marriage encounter weekend. For an application or more information

World Youth Days 2008: The next World Youth Days, in 2008 will take place in Australia. There will be a
meeting on Sunday, October 2nd at 2 p.m. in the church for all Catholic youth and young adults (ages 15 to 32)
of the parish who are interested in going. We will need adult chaperons as well (1 adult for every 4 youth).

Thanksgiving Food Donations: Anyone wishing to donate items to the food bank during Thanksgiving holiday
may do so by leaving them in the box at the front entrance of the Church.

Volunteers: Since we have no caretaker during the Fall and Winter months, we are asking for volunteers to
clean the church on a weekly basis. This consists of cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming vestry and church. If
you are able to give some of your time, please sign your name on the paper at entrance table.

The late Sarah Jane Berrette , formerly of Lower L' Ardoise --Wake will be held on October 7, 20052 - 4
and 7 - 9 p.m. and the funeral mass will be on October 8 at 11 a.m. Holy Guardian Angels Parish.

Scholastic Book Fair: There will be a Scholastic Book Fair held at the EREC Library (5-8 site) during the
week of October 3 -7. Book Fair hours are from 8:30 - 2:30 daily and also Wednesday evening, October 5
from 6 - 8 p.m. Everyone welcome. Help support our school library.

Lamp Light Worship Service (Lamps & Lanterns) on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. CeiIidh
following the service. Calvin Presbyterian Church, Loch Lomond. The Cape Breton Gaelic Choir, Sydney
under the direction of Shauna Doolan will be there for the service.

Family Life Department: The Educational Program Life Lessons will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 to
8:30 p.m. at the Family Service of Port Hawkesbury office boardroom, 301 Pitt Street, Unit 4. Life Lessons is
tips, techniques and information on dealing with life's challenges. Sessions will provide up-to-date and
practical information on the topics at hand, and may include handouts, guest speakers, activities and brief
