World Mission Sunday: Today is World Mission Sunday. We celebrate
our participation in the mission of
Jesus. Our lives of faith and good works witness to the Gospel of love. Today
in solidarity with the faithful
everywhere, let us give generously to support the mission work of the universal
Church.

Following Mass, the veterans and members will fall in behind the cadets to the
march to the Community Center.
11:00 a.m. - Remembrance Day Ceremonies and laying of wreaths at the
L'Ardoise Community Center
12:00 p.m. - Light lunch will be served at the L'Ardoise Legion for members,
Cadets and the general public.
Presentation: On Friday, November 4th from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.,
the sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame
are sponsoring a presentation by Dr. Nuala Kenny, Sister of Charity, MD., entitled
"The Gospel and End of
Life Decision Making." Dr. Kenny is a Fellow of the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
In today's society, many of us are often faced with serious decisions that affect
our lives and the lives of our
loved ones at a time of grave illness. An open invitation is extended to all
to attend this presentation at the
Membertou Trade & Convention Center, Sydney.
Canada-Wide Catholic Youth Ministry Conference for Adults: The
Canadian Catholic Youth Ministry

A Well Women Pap and Health Clinic will be held on Wednesday,
October 26th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
St. Peters Medical Clinic and also on Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the Dr. Kingston Memorial
Clinic . Anyone wishing an appointment may call the Health Project office at
587-2991. Blood Pressure,
Weight, Glucose and Cholestrol screening will also be offered during this Clinic.
A Seniors Ceilidh, Safety Talk and Tea will be held on Thursday,
October 27th from 12-3 p.m. at the Bonnie
Brae Seniors Club. RCMP will speak on Safety at home for Seniors. Entertainment
by Kiffie Carter and Al
Martin. Silver collection at the door. All are welcome to attend.
The Pumpkin: A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it
like to be a Christian?" The coworker replied,
"It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you up from the patch, brings you
in and washes all the dirt off you. Then
He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds
of doubt, hate, greed, etc. and then
carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all
the world to see."
Anger Management Program: A 6-week program consisting of general
discussions on anger, anger types,
minimizing anger outbursts, managing stressful situations, relaxation techniques,
etc. Mondays from Oct. 24 to

Cooperative Parenting & Divorce Program: A 6-week educational
program designed to provide parents with
ideas to cope with many of the parenting difficulties that arise after separation
or divorce, and to help parents
