Parish Census Volunteers Needed: It has been a long time since a parish census has been carried out.
Research was carried out, and a number of parish census forms from other parishes were collected. Parish
Pastoral Council Executive met and decided on one form to be adapted to our needs. The form is short and non-
intrusive. What we need are a number of volunteers to carry out the door-to-door census. The area goes from
Point Michaud to the Three Islands area. If you would like to volunteer for this worthwhile project, please get
in touch with Paula Sampson or Mary Anne Mombourquette to register. Registration
deadline is October 11th. There will be a very brief meeting of all parish census volunteers on Thursday,
October 12th at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe.
A parish census will give us an accurate picture of how many families
are in the parish and the make-up of the population. In turn, this has administrative, financial and pastoral
effects.

Community Center: Terry Clements has agreed to look after all bookings pertaining to the Community
Center. For a booking please call him.

Graveyard: There are some crosses and markers in the graveyard that are broken down and unmarked, mostly
because of age and weather. We are trying to get some information as to whom these markers and crosses
belong in order to have a permanent record. If there is anyone who can help us in identifying the people who are
buried under these markers or crosses, we would very much appreciate their help. Also, there are places that are
unknown, and we would like to find out who is buried there. If you can help us at all, either in identifying these
names or grave sites, please call Ken Pottie. Thank you.
