Parish Census Volunteers Needed: It has been a long time since a parish
census has been carried out.
Research was carried out, and a number of parish census forms from other parishes
were collected. Parish
Pastoral Council Executive met and decided on one form to be adapted to our
needs. What we need are a
number of volunteers to carry out the door-to-door census. The area goes from
Point Michaud to the Three
Islands area. If you would like to volunteer for this worthwhile project, please
get in touch with Paula Sampson
or Mary Anne Mombourquette. A parish census will give us an accurate picture
of how
many families are in the parish and the make-up of the population. In turn,
this has administrative and pastoral
effects.

year we will have memory
balloons. Anyone who makes a donation, brings in a pledge sheet, or may want
to stop by for a balloon, we
will put the name of a loved one or friend on the balloon. For environmental
reasons we will not release the
balloons but instead we'll hook them outside in a visible area. You may also
come in and make a personal
donation, but are not required to walk. Last year was our best year yet, with
a 200% raise from our previous
year, but with your support we could make this our best ever. Hope to see you
on the 17th . If you have any
questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you, Lesa Oakley, Run-Coordinator
