Parish Census Volunteers Needed: It has been a long time since a parish
census has been carried out.
Research was carried out, and a number of parish census forms from other parishes
were collected. Parish
Pastoral Council Executive met and decided on one form to be adapted to our
needs. The form is short and non-
intrusive. What we need are a number of volunteers to carry out the door-to-door
census. The area goes from
Point Michaud to the Three Islands area. If you would like to volunteer for
this worthwhile project, please get
in touch with Paula Sampson or Mary Anne Mombourquette to register. Registration
deadline is October 11th. There will be a very brief meeting of all parish census
volunteers on Thursday,
October 12th at 7:30 p.m. in the glebe. A parish census will give us an accurate
picture of how many families
are in the parish and the make-up of the population. In turn, this has administrative
and pastoral effects.
