Kitchen Party On Cape Breton Island

Fiddles, tin whistles, bodhrans, guitars
and singing voices fill the room on
week-end evenings in this small
and cozy house on the southern
shores of Cape Breton Island.

Dave MacIsaac and Dwayne Cote. This is where many gathered after the
benefit for Gordon Cote.

Carl's Place Song

If you ever go down to Cape Breton
One of these sunny days
Be sure to drop into Carl Samson's
He lives in West L'Ardoise.
He'll invite you in for a coffee
Or maybe a cup of brew
And if you should like something stronger
He'll serve it up for you.
Now if you like to hear music
Then Carl's is the place to be.
On Saturday night down at Carl's Place
With Linda and Rene.
We didn't forget about Cecile
Carl's wife is one of the cast
We could have mentioned her sooner
But we saved the best for last.
So if you should be kind of lonesome
When Saturday rolls along
Just take yourself down to Carl's place
And join them in a song.
You'll never meet better people
No matter where you may roam
Just take a trip down to Carl's Place
It's just like home sweet home.
